The number of entrepreneurs with a wealth of over 5 billion yuan has decreased for the first time in three consecutive years, dropping nearly 400 places from the peak in 2021 to nearly 1100 now, but still growing by 25% compared to five years ago. By city, Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen rank among the top three in terms of the number of entrepreneurs on the list. According to relevant information, Beijing has always been the city with the most entrepreneurs on the Hurun Rich List for 26 years, but the gap with the second place has narrowed. In 2016, Beijing had 127 more entrepreneurs on the list than the second place. This year, Shanghai and Shenzhen are closest to Beijing in history, and Shanghai has surpassed Shenzhen for the first time since 2013 to rank second.
