In July 2023, Meituan released the fourth-generation unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) independently developed in Shanghai. Not only is the equipment itself demanding, from the laboratory to the market, to achieve large-scale operation, but also a huge Internet of Things management is needed. To this end, Meituan has specially built a set of air dispatching system, which cooperates with the automatic dispatching system to automatically plan routes and arrange delivery tasks for UAVs in the service area.
As more enterprises enter the UAV distribution track, the accelerated opening of the route will inevitably lead to an increase in the demand for UAV equipment, which will undoubtedly promote the innovation and upgrading of R&D, production, manufacturing, sales, services and other industrial chains, and bring new opportunities for manufacturing enterprises.
At present, low-altitude economic emerging industries represented by drone distribution are becoming a "new engine" to drive the growth of the real economy. From the perspective of the US UAV, the outbreak of low-altitude economic industries needs time, place and people. Airspace, infrastructure, technology operation, business model and other issues must be solved, so that the industry can truly achieve large-scale development.
