The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved a progressive drone policy, establishing the state as a key player in drone manufacturing and services. This milestone policy aims to attract investment of over 100 billion rupees, drive revenue of 300 billion rupees, and support the establishment of a 300 acre 'drone city' in Orvakal, Kurnool.

Minister of Information and Public Relations K Parthasarathy outlined the policy's goals, including attracting 100 new companies focused on drone manufacturing, research and development, training, and services within the next five years. The policy allocates 5 billion rupees to promote the training of 25000 drone pilots, create 40000 job opportunities, and establish 20 remote pilot training organizations and 50 drone excellence centers.
